The Sharks Foundation USA was officially established in 2021 after an investment by MVM Holdings in Sharks Rugby, because of the power of sport to support and uplift communities.
After flooding and political unrest impacted various communities in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, in 2021, we helped lead the #HandsOfHope campaign to provide our communities with immediate relief.
We are proud to partner with foundations established by current and past Sharks Rugby players who are providing on the ground support in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Our Pillars
The Sharks Foundation USA believes in the power of sport to inspire, unite, and uplift. Through our programs in food security, youth education, and community upliftment, we are building opportunities where they are needed most.

YOUTH EDUCATION
- Mentoring the next generation of rugby players through the Sharks Rugby Development Mentorship Program.
- Providing scholarships and bursaries through the Sharksn Academy.
- Building libraries and distributing educational materials in underserved communities.

- Fighting hunger by distributing warm meals and partnering with SA Harvest to provide nutritious ingredients.
- Running community and school feeding programs

- Building community resilience and fostering hope through charitable drives, rugby clinics, mentorship, and community events.
